Springtime Means It’s Time For A Spring Clean

Yes  –  the days are getting warmer, the nights are growing shorter. The birds are singing as they fly across the bright blue sky and the flowers are starting to bloom. It is time to cleanse your mind, body and environment. Springtime Means It’s Time For A Spring Clean.

Springtime means its time to springclean

Many of us know the tradition of doing a full spring clean. Taking down curtains and washing them, cleaning the windows, sometimes changing the décor in your house to brighten it up after the comfort of those darker winter tones.  I do all of these things and also take the opportunity to let the fresh breezes blow through my home. Taking away all the negative energy build up from the winter being tucked up inside.

Springtime cleansing

Smoke or sound cleansing is often part of my routine, as well as cleansing my protection crystals and setting new protection intentions around my house. This is also a great time to clear out your wardrobe and other cupboards and declutter some of your ‘stuff’ you no longer need. Donate, recycle or repurpose items you have not used for some time and freshen up the wardrobe and drawers with some scent liners or bags.

Sping clean your mind

A wonderful time to also declutter and spring clean your mind. The new season is a perfect time to set new intentions and goals and to let go of the things that are holding you back. Release the need to relive the past, banish the feelings of ‘unworthy’ and leave the negative beliefs behind.

By releasing the unhelpful thoughts and feelings you give yourself permission to move forward, to flourish in your new goals and to build momentum towards more positive outcomes in life.  Just like the sun shining through the clouds, you are growing stronger and your path becomes more clear.

Enjoy the spring atmosphere

Try to take time to go outside every day.

Find a place you feel at one with nature that you pass on a regular basis. Maybe the tree in your front yard or the grass near your mailbox.

Make a conscious time to pause there often –  just to be mindful and take in the beauty of nature and what is happening around you. Open all of your senses and drink in the day.
